Managed switches, PoE equipment and Ethernet connectivity
Secure guest networks, VLANs and device segmentation
Network rack organisation, upgrades and equipment replacement
Connectivity between buildings where practical

UniFi WiFi

UniFi access point installation and WiFi optimisation

Frequently asked questions

UniFi installation FAQs

Answers to common questions about installing and maintaining Ubiquiti UniFi systems.

Can you install UniFi equipment I already own?

Yes. We can help assess, install and configure existing compatible Ubiquiti UniFi equipment. Tell us which models you have and how you want to use them.

Can you help fix a UniFi device that won't adopt?

Yes. Adoption failures may involve controller access, firmware, network settings or hardware issues. We can investigate the cause and explain the available options.

Can UniFi WiFi cover a large home, shed or multiple buildings?

Often, yes. A combination of appropriately positioned access points, Ethernet links or suitable point-to-point wireless links may be required. We assess each site rather than promise coverage without a review.

Do I need an existing UniFi network for UniFi Protect cameras?

Not necessarily. UniFi Protect needs a compatible Protect hosting device and appropriate networking infrastructure. We can recommend a configuration suited to your cameras, recording and remote-access requirements.

Can you upgrade an existing UniFi setup without replacing everything?

In many cases. We can check equipment compatibility, performance and expansion capacity, then recommend which components are worth keeping or upgrading.

Do you service Melbourne as well as Gippsland?

Yes. We are Warragul-based and undertake suitable projects across Gippsland, Melbourne and regional Victoria. Availability depends on the location and scope of work.

Are you affiliated with Ubiquiti?

No. Install Group Gippsland is an independent installation and support business. Ubiquiti and UniFi are trademarks of their respective owners.
